If there is suspected fraud on your account, you will receive outgoing communication (email, text, voice) from the Customer Communication Service (CCS) via a new automated system.
Here's how Fraud Prevention Service works:
- When potential fraud is detected, an automatic email notification from Old Hickory Credit Union, with the option to reply with "fraud" or "no fraud,” will be sent.
- One minute after the email, you will receive a text alert from 96923 between 7am and 9pm EST, which also has the "fraud" or "no fraud" option. (*SEE BELOW)
- If no response is received five minutes after the text alert, you will receive automatic phone calls to confirm or deny fraud.
Please remember - the messages will never ask for your PIN or account number.
*The automated phone number for our Fraud Center is 1-800-237-8990. If you add this number to your phone contacts and label it "Fraud Center," it will display whenever you receive a call from this number. Otherwise, it will show as “private number.” You can also call 1-855-293-2456 to speak to a Fraud Center representative.
If you are contacted by our new automated service, the best practice is to confirm "fraud" or "no fraud" by responding directly via text, email, or by calling the Fraud Center at 1-800-237-8990.
For international fraud please call 1-206-389-5201.
